This past week, Lochner team members traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend two prominent transportation industry events: the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Legislative Conference and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) 14th Annual Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation Awards Breakfast.
APTA Legislative Conference
The APTA Legislative Conference serves as a platform for public transportation professionals to engage with federal legislators and policymakers. The conference focuses on educating attendees about significant federal legislation and policy initiatives, providing an opportunity to influence the industry’s positions and advocacy agenda.
Gary Thomas, Lochner’s National Transit & Rail Market Director and former APTA Board Chair (2011–2012), participated in discussions alongside current and past APTA Board Chairs, emphasizing Lochner’s ongoing leadership and contributions in shaping national transit policies.
COMTO’s Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation
