Matthew J. Koch Joins Lochner as National Operations Leader for the Water and Environment Practice

Lochner, an Egis company, is pleased to announce that Matthew J. Koch, PE, PMP, CFM, has joined the firm as National Operations Leader for the Water and Environment Practice.

Matt brings more than 40 years of experience in water resources, environmental and municipal infrastructure programs. He has led large, multidisciplinary teams and delivered complex programs for federal and public-sector clients. His career spans technical delivery, business management, national operations leadership and executive roles, with a proven ability to strengthen operations and lead transformation within large engineering organizations.

In his role at Lochner, Matt will work closely with the National Water Practice Director to advance operational leadership across the practice, supporting both growth and delivery excellence for water, wastewater, stormwater, water resources and environmental programs nationwide. Based in the Kansas City area, he will collaborate with technical and business development leaders across Lochner and Egis to strengthen integration, enhance delivery efficiency and deliver innovative, scalable solutions to clients.

“Matt is a nationally recognized operations leader known for building high-performing teams and delivering complex programs,” said Charlotte Maddox, PE, D.WRE, National Water and Environment Practice Leader. “His leadership, combined with the strength of the Lochner-Egis partnership, will enhance our operational performance, expand our national practice and deliver even greater value to our clients and communities.”

Matt is a licensed professional engineer in Missouri and holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certifications. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and completed graduate studies in Environmental Engineering at the University of Kansas. He currently serves as an Associate of the Association of State Floodplain Managers Foundation and previously served on its Board of Trustees.
