Dennis Jernigan Joins Lochner as North Carolina Transportation Lead

We are excited to welcome Dennis Jernigan, PE, as North Carolina Transportation Lead. With 33 years of experience at the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Dennis brings a wealth of knowledge in civil engineering, construction management, and project leadership. Most recently, he served as Acting Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer for Highway Operations for the NC Turnpike Authority (NCTA), overseeing all of NCTA’s highway infrastructure and key projects like Complete 540.

Dennis has been a driving force in contract administration, right of way acquisitions, and public engagement, playing a crucial role in advancing North Carolina’s transportation network. He has also been a spokesperson for the NCTA, leading multi-agency efforts and serving on numerous committees, including the IBTTA Connected Automated Shared and Electric (CASE) working group and the North Carolina Fully Autonomous Vehicle (FAV) Committee.

“Dennis’ vast experience and leadership will be a significant asset as we continue to grow in the North Carolina region. His track record of success and dedication to advancing infrastructure projects will be invaluable to our team and clients,” said Lochner’s Northeast Regional Manager, Ryan Gargan, PE.

We look forward to the many contributions Dennis will bring to our organization!
