Kara Van Etten, PE, Promoted to Tampa Office Lead

Please join us in congratulating Kara Van Etten, PE on her recent promotion to Tampa Office Lead. Kara is a seasoned project manager with nearly two decades of experience in structural and transportation design. Her journey with Lochner began in 2006 as a student intern, and she joined the firm fulltime in 2008. Kara has held various roles including representing Lochner in-house at FDOT District 7 as a General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Project Manager, overseeing a range of projects from resurfacing efforts to complex design-builds.

“Kara has done an outstanding job leading Tampa’s Transportation Design Group,” said Nick Benedico, PE, Southeast Regional Manager. “I’m confident she’ll bring that same level of success and leadership to her new role overseeing the entire Tampa office and contributing to our Southeast Region leadership team.”

Kara’s deep roots at Lochner, combined with her technical expertise and leadership, make her exceptionally well-suited to lead our Tampa team forward. Congratulations, Kara!
