The underground system moves people between the 4 concourses of the central terminal and to the 2 satellite terminals.

SeaTac is upgrading the Satellite Transit System (STS) Controls that run the North and South Loop automated people mover (APM) system. Our team is providing communications and electrical design services, as well as technical oversight, for the construction of a fiber optic network supporting the automated train control (ATC) system. In addition to the fiber optic design, we are managing the architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subconsultants that together will provide a complete design and construction package for the new fiber optic network and control room. The control room for the ATC system includes new electrical lighting, power panels with backup power, fire detection, fire sprinkler, and HVAC.

The scope of work encompasses design for approximately 2 miles of fiber optic cabling and associated raceway, communications cabinets/racks, replacement of tunnel lighting fixtures, power panels and electrical conductors.
