Serving over a million commuters annually, the Irvine Train Station is the busiest train station in Orange County.

This one-mile radius from the train station is a place where people live, work, shop, and play. Improvements were planned to satisfy four key goals of the 1st Mile and Last Mile Plan: 1) plan for better connection, 2) foster comfortable travel, 3) prioritize improvements, and 4) encourage sustainability. The project included pedestrian, bicycle, and transit links to and from residential, employment, and recreational locations.
