Lochner Celebrates the Expansion of the SunRunner Bus Rapid Transit System

Last week we celebrated the groundbreaking event for the expansion of the SunRunner Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system! This important project, led by the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA), will further enhance connectivity and transit options in St. Pete, Florida.

We are also proud to share that the first phase of the SunRunner has earned the 2024 APTA Excellence in Inclusive Collaboration Award. This national award recognizes the successful partnership between PSTA and its private sector partners: Jones Worley, an African American woman-owned Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), and Lochner, the prime engineer for the project. Together, we delivered a standout transit solution through thoughtful design and implementation.

This award highlights our commitment to creating an exceptional and inclusive passenger experience. We are excited to continue our work on the SunRunner BRT system and contribute to the future of public transportation in our community.
