Austin Office Preps 3,961 Pounds of Food

Lochner’s Austin office volunteered at the Central Texas Food Bank, the largest hunger-relief charity in Central Texas. On February 26, 2020, our employees spent over two hours sorting and cleaning 3,961 pounds of non-perishable food, including canned vegetables and snack items. The food was then distributed to those in need through local soup kitchens, food pantries, after-school programs, and various other programs.

Andrea Murphy, a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Lochner Austin office, said, “Volunteering at the Central Texas Food Bank is a great, hands-on way to give back to the community. This was our third year volunteering there, and we keep going back because the food bank is a high-energy, positive atmosphere. It feels good to help provide food to those who need it.”

The Central Texas Food Bank, a member of Feeding America, serves 21 Texas counties.
