Raleigh Office Helps Build a Better Community
As part of Lochner’s Giving Back Initiative, employees throughout the firm participate in an annual group service project that benefits the local communities in which they live, work, and play. This week, we are featuring the volunteer efforts of our Raleigh office at the Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, an organization that works with homebuyers and community members to build affordable housing. On June 29, 2019, our Raleigh employees spent over six and a half hours at a home site with Habitat for Humanity staff and volunteers. They constructed a wood deck from start to finish; installed three exterior doors and ten windows; put up exterior insulation panels and siding; and caulked the interior of the house along all outside walls.
Since 1985, Habitat for Humanity of Wake County has worked with homebuyers, volunteers, and donors to build over 750 homes in Wake and Johnston counties.
