La Porte Office Gives Support to Local Veterans

As part of Lochner’s Giving Back Initiative, employees throughout the firm participate in an annual group service project that benefits the local communities in which they live, work, and play. This week, we are featuring the volunteer efforts of our La Porte office at the 11th Annual Vet Fest, an event held by American Legion Post 502 to honor the residents of the Indiana Veterans’ Home and to raise money for their care. On August 2, 2019, Lochner employees helped to decorate the event space, valet cars as festival guests arrived, serve hot dogs and hamburgers during dinner, and clean up once the festival was over. Our staff also sold raffle tickets, which helped to raise over $10,000 for the Indiana Veterans’ Home.

The American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veteran organization and was originally charted by Congress in 1919. The Indiana Veterans’ Home is operated by the State of Indiana and provides full-service care to Indiana veterans and their spouses.
