Construction Begins on Lochner-Designed CR 305 Bridge Replacement
On Friday, September 21st Lochner joined Williamson County and TxDOT officials at the groundbreaking ceremony for the I-35 CR 305 Bridge Replacement project. The groundbreaking signifies the start of construction of a new, wider CR 305 bridge over I-35, accommodating the rapid growth of North Williamson County and the future potential widening of I-35.
After completing a route study to assess construction and right of way costs associated with various realignment options, Lochner developed schematic and final design plans to replace the existing two-lane bridge with a six-lane bridge and will continue to provide construction administration services.
Texas Regional Team Leader, Phil Russell, says of the project, “Lochner is excited to assist Williamson County in their pursuit to bring much-needed congestion relief to this rapidly growing area. We hope to continue this relationship with the County as they strive to improve the lives and commutes of the residents in this region.”
County Commissioner Valerie Covey, Mayor Larry Bush, and Jarrell City Council members were joined by representatives from TxDOT and Capital Excavation Company at groundbreaking celebration.
