Steven Schoenekase Joins Lochner
Steve Schoenekase, PE, joins Lochner’s Dallas office as Vice President and Projects Group Manager. Specializing in designing and managing transportation programs, he brings more than 25 years of experience from predominantly Texas sectors that extends to the Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Arkansas markets. With his extensive design foundation, marketing background, and management experience, Steve will strengthen Lochner’s design practice in the Dallas office and be pivotal in expanding that practice throughout Texas.
Steve has worked on numerous high-profile projects in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex. Shortly after starting his career as a bridge engineer, he provided structural design services for the I-635 / US 75 Interchange (High Five) project, later serving as the Deputy Project Manager for the High Five project responsible for drainage design. He served as project manager on numerous Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) PS&E projects including IH 30, FM 2551 and SH 5. Steve has extensive experience in the TxDOT alternative delivery sector, having successfully procured and overseen the design of the I-35 and SH 183 design-build projects in the DFW Metroplex, as well as the Grand Parkway Segments F&G design-build project in Houston.
In addition to his numerous successes with TxDOT projects, Steve managed high-profile programs including the DFW International Airport Design and Design Management. In the early 2000s, he managed the City of McKinney’s Capital Improvement Program for eight years during the city’s explosive growth. He completed projects such as the restoration of the Historic Downtown Square, design and construction of the Public Safety Building, and construction of two new major thoroughfares, Hardin Boulevard and Lake Forest Drive.
