The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) grant funding is providing necessary traffic congestion relief for the City’s surface transportation network.
The project proposes to install ITS upgrades along Fair Oaks Corridor from its southern terminus at Huntington Drive to Columbia Avenue just north of I-110 freeway. The upgrades include video detections, CCTV monitoring, passive pedestrian detection, emergency vehicle preemption, signal synchronization, changeable message signs, ADA upgrades, bulb-out treatments, median nose modifications, and fiber optic communication. Our team is in charge of coordinating all aspects of the project, including public outreach and environmental clearance, due to the historical nature of the project area.”
