Dallas Office Sends 26,136 Meals to El Salvador

Lochner’s Dallas office volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, a nonprofit that provides malnourished children with specially formulated, nutritionally complete meals. On February 21, 2020, ten Lochner employees dispensed a dry food mix of soy, vitamins, rice, and vegetables into bags. They then vacuum-sealed the bags, packed them into boxes, and prepared the boxes for shipping to El Salvador. During their two hours of volunteering, our employees filled 121 boxes with 26,136 meals, which will feed 71 children for a year.

Simona Mullins, a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Lochner Dallas office, said, “Volunteering at Feed My Starving Children last year was such a great experience that without hesitation our office wanted to do it again this year. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re donating a few hours of your time to team build and meet new people all while preparing nutritional food for hungry children.”

Feed My Starving Children, founded in 1987, works with food distribution partners around the world to fight against hunger. This is the second year the Lochner Dallas office has volunteered for the organization.
