2024 Lochner Annual Awards

We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2024 Lochner Annual Awards. These awards, aligned with our organizational culture and guiding principles, are open to all employees across Lochner and our family of companies. Through a nomination process, they recognize the exceptional performance of individuals and teams throughout the organization.

  • Giving Back Award: Lochner’s Pittsburgh office receives this award for their commitment to supporting charitable causes in their local community. Their dedication to service and building meaningful connections is a true reflection of our Lochner Leads principles. In 2024, the Pittsburgh team led three impactful initiatives that demonstrated their passion for making a positive difference: the Family House Snack Bag Donation, a Top Golf Fundraiser benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the Friends of the Riverfront Volunteer Event.
  • Innovation & Entrepreneurship Award: The Triunity team in Denver receives this award for their innovative work developing the Precision project management platform. Their efforts—highlighted by tools like the CROP Chart on the 16th Street Mall project—have improved project delivery, enhanced stakeholder engagement, and strengthened Lochner’s competitive edge through smarter, data-driven solutions.
  • Collaboration Award: The Planning and Environmental Community of Practice receives this award for leveraging cross-regional expertise to secure a first-of-its-kind wildlife study contract with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Through collaboration across offices and disciplines—including planning, traffic, ecology, and digital services—the CoP played a key role in positioning Lochner as a national leader in wildlife-vehicle collision mitigation.
  • Health and Safety Award: Heather Breeze, Office Administrator, and Kevin Connor, Senior Environmental Manager, receive this award for their outstanding commitment to health and safety in the Tampa office. From hurricane preparedness and emergency communication to fire drills, safety training, and onboarding, their proactive leadership has fostered a secure and well-prepared environment for all staff and visitors.
  • Ambassador Award: Alex Magdaleno receives this award for his exceptional advocacy of Lochner, both internally and externally. As President of the South Texas Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Alex expanded the organization’s reach and organized impactful initiatives. He was recognized as South Texas ITE Younger Member of the Year and one of ITE International’s “Top 20 Young Leaders to Follow.” Alex actively promotes Lochner’s values through his involvement in WTS, ITE, ASHE, and community events, while also mentoring the next generation of transportation professionals.

Congratulations to our annual award recipients! Your exceptional dedication and commitment to representing Lochner have not gone unnoticed.
