Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport Lighting Replacement Wins AAAE South Central Chapter Award

Lochner’s lighting replacement project at Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport in Temple, Texas, has received the 2021 Airport Project Award from the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) South Central Chapter. The project addressed deficiencies on Runways 15/33 and 2/20, as well as on several taxiways, by rehabilitating medium-intensity runway lights, replacing runway signs, and painting new runway designation numbers. Additionally, incandescent lighting was replaced with energy-efficient LEDs to reduce the airport’s energy use and carbon footprint. Lochner provided planning, design, and construction administration services.
