Tyler and Waco Offices Host a Virtual Food Drive

Lochner’s Tyler and Waco offices recently held a virtual food drive to benefit the East Texas Food Bank, a nonprofit organization fighting to reduce hunger through food, support, and education. In June 2020, our employees donated $1000, which will be used to purchase 2,000 pounds of food and provide 2,000 meals for those in need.

Based in Lochner’s Tyler office, Area Manager Greg Evans said, “I’m so pleased with the outcome of our virtual food drive. We had originally planned to do a traditional food drive but pivoted as a result of COVID-19, which prevented the food bank from accepting outside food donations. Now more than ever, it’s important to give back, and the generosity of our employees helped make an impact on our community and provide essential items to our neighbors in need.”

Earlier this year (prior to the implementation of social distancing measures), the Tyler and Waco offices volunteered to process food donations at the East Texas Food Bank. The virtual food drive marks the fourth Giving Back event the offices have held to benefit the East Texas Food Bank. The food bank is a member of Feeding America and serves 26 counties in East Texas.
