East Hartford Office Cleans Up Great River Park

As part of Lochner’s Giving Back Initiative, employees throughout the firm participate in an annual group service project that benefits the local communities in which they live, work, and play. This week, we are featuring the volunteer efforts of our East Hartford office with Riverfront Recapture, an organization working to enhance and expand the park system in Hartford and East Hartford. On September 17, 2019, East Hartford employees volunteered to clean up Great River Park, which included mulching, weeding, and clearing away litter and debris from the park’s walking path. Our staff also installed three new park benches and restored a park sign.

Since 1981, Riverfront Recapture has worked to revitalize the banks of the Connecticut River in Hartford and East Hartford. This includes the management of a trail system and four parks, covering 148 acres along 3.5 miles of the river.
