Orlando Office Spruces Up Lake Baldwin Park
As part of Lochner’s Giving Back Initiative, employees throughout the firm participate in an annual group service project that benefits the local communities in which they live, work, and play. This week, we are featuring the volunteer efforts of our Orlando, Florida office at Lake Baldwin, a 23.16-acre neighborhood park with a 2.5-mile paved loop. On April 13, 2019, the Orlando office volunteered for two and a half hours of lakeside clean-up, which included collecting 52 gallons worth of litter, sorting out recyclables, and weeding the main lakefront area.
Lake Baldwin is an important community asset. It’s one of only two parks in Orlando with a lakefront that boasts a sandy beach and is the only park in the city designated dog friendly. Its paved loop is a popular destination for walkers, runners, rollerbladers, and bicyclists. Additionally, the park is in close proximity to a popular shopping area and hosts regular events throughout the year for its nearby residents.
