Tyler and Waco Offices Pack 1,728 Meals for East Texas

Lochner’s Tyler and Waco offices volunteered at the East Texas Food Bank, a nonprofit organization fighting to reduce hunger through food, support, and education. On February 19, 2020, our employees spent two hours repackaging bulk beans into 60 cases. These cases were then distributed to local partner agencies and food programs that work directly with those in need. This effort provided 1,728 meals to East Texas residents.

Wynelle McDonald, an Administrative Assistant in the Lochner Tyler office, said, “So many lives in our community are touched by the East Texas Food Bank’s services. The food bank has grown so much and needs volunteers to keep it going.”

A member of Feeding America, the East Texas Food Bank serves 26 counties in East Texas. It is also one of four food banks that serves the Gulf Coast Region and is pre-staged with food in the event of a disaster.
