Connecticut Offices Participate in Engineering Can Challenge

Lochner’s Hartford and Southbury offices participated in the First Annual Engineering Can Challenge—a friendly, virtual food-drive competition to benefit the Salvation Army Greater Hartford Area Services. Lochner and six other Connecticut engineering firms were challenged to meet a charitable goal of $1000. Our Connecticut staff, with a contribution from Lochner Cares, donated $1800 and placed second for largest total donation. Overall, the competition raised nearly $10,500 for the Salvation Army.

Roy Merritt, a senior construction engineer from Lochner’s Southbury office, said, “The Engineering Can Challenge was a huge success and shows how generous the engineering community really is. We appreciated being able to help our neighbors while bonding with our colleagues, and we look forward to competing again next year.”
