Dallas Office Sends 14,040 Meals to Zimbabwe

As part of Lochner’s Giving Back Initiative, employees throughout the firm participate in an annual group service project that benefits the local communities in which they live, work, and play. This week, we are featuring the volunteer efforts of our Dallas office at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), which provides nutritionally complete meals specially formulated for malnourished children. On August 6, 2019, Lochner’s Dallas employees weighed, bagged, and vacuum-sealed a dry-food mixture of vitamins, soy, rice, and vegetables. Then they packed the bags into boxes and helped the FMSC warehouse team stack them for shipping to Zimbabwe. In two hours, Dallas staff had packed 65 boxes with 14,040 meals—enough to feed 38 children for a whole year.

Originally founded in 1987, FMSC partners with organizations across 70 countries to distribute food through schools, orphanages, medical clinics, and feeding programs.
