The redevelopment of the 225-acre Cascade Mill District is a joint project between Yakima County and the City of Yakima that will increase jobs and economic activity in both jurisdictions. Yakima was awarded LIFT (Local Infrastructure Financing Tool) funding from the State of Washington to create a revenue development area that will transition the former Boise Cascade Mill, which once provided 200 family-waged jobs, into a mixed-use regional economic catalyst and create 200 short-term construction jobs; 1,300 light manufacturing jobs; 750 medical, technology, and research jobs; and 2,580 commercial, retail, and entertainment center jobs.

Lochner is providing planning and engineering services for the construction of Bravo Company Boulevard. Lochner has provided roadway design in the vicinity of H Street to North 1st Street, as well as the design of roadway and utility enhancements from the Lincoln Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard couplet to H Street. The roadway enhancements and connections have resulted in a boulevard-style four- or five-lane arterial with roundabouts at the south and north intersections, as well as a midpoint roundabout and extensive landscaping elements. The project improvements include new hot-mix asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalks, illumination, pavement markings, storm drainage, sanitary and industrial sewer mains, potable water mains, and landscaping.
