Miami Office Runs for a Healthier Lifestyle
As part of Lochner’s Giving Back Initiative, employees throughout the firm participate in an annual group service project that benefits the local communities in which they live, work, and play. This week, we are featuring the efforts of our Miami office in the 2019 Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run (MBCR), a 5K that partners with the United Way of South Florida and promotes movement as a means to a healthier lifestyle. On April 25, 2019, our Miami employees joined over 26,698 people from 882 companies to run/walk in the 2019 MBCR. The event was held at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami and all proceeds were donated to the United Way of South Florida as well as other local charities. In addition to giving their time, Lochner employees sponsored a tent, bringing their contribution to $1665. All participants celebrated the end of the race with fireworks that illuminated the skyline of Downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay.
The MBCR is annual 5K race owned by TeamFootWorks, a non-profit organization that has partnered with United Way of South Florida. It takes place in Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Miami and is one of the largest 5K races in the country.
