Lochner Teams Give Back Across Texas and Washington
Lochner teams across Texas and Washington recently supported community initiatives that reflect our commitment to giving back to the communities where we live and work.
In Tyler and Waco, employees organized a companywide bake sale benefiting PAVE (Pathways for Adults Via Education) East Texas, formerly the Literacy Council of Tyler. Founded in 1990 as an adult literacy program, PAVE now provides GED preparation, English Language Services, Workplace Literacy, Family Literacy, and Career Pathways programs to more than 2,100 adults across six counties. With baked goods donated by employees, families, and neighboring businesses, the event raised $1,575 to support adult education in East Texas.
In Houston, team members partnered with MetroNational to support Kids’ Meals, Inc., a nonprofit focused on ending childhood hunger. As part of a citywide effort to pack 50,000 lunches for families in need, our volunteers assembled 3,000 meal bags during their shift.
In Seattle, employees volunteered with Sound Foundations NW, an organization that builds transitional tiny homes for individuals experiencing homelessness. The team completed interior and exterior painting, caulking, and trim work on newly assembled homes, contributing to safe and secure spaces for community members awaiting permanent housing.
