KOA Recognized for their Contributions to the City of Big Bear Lake Moonridge Road Corridor Improvement Project

Last week, our KOA colleagues were recognized for their contributions to the City of Big Bear Lake Moonridge Road Corridor Improvement Project, receiving both the ACEC California Merit Engineering Excellence Award and the APWA B.E.S.T Award.

The Moonridge Corridor Improvement is the City of Big Bear Lake’s most ambitious infrastructure project to date, representing the largest public works effort in its history. This initiative has transformed the Moonridge Road corridor into a complete street, catering to motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. The project also includes the state California’s first dog bone-shaped roundabout, alongside an oval counterpart.

Congratulations to the KOA team for the outstanding work on this innovative project!
