Michael O’Connor Selected for ACEC/NC Junior Board of Directors

We’re proud to share that Michael O’Connor, Jr. PE, DBIA, has been selected to serve on the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC) Junior Board of Directors for the 2025–2027 term.
 
Michael is a senior structural engineer with extensive experience in bridge design for both new construction and rehabilitation projects spanning roadways, waterways, and rail corridors. In past roles as project manager, discipline lead, and engineer of record, he has demonstrated a commitment to technical excellence, cross-discipline collaboration, and high standards in design and delivery.
 
The ACEC/NC Junior Board brings together emerging leaders from across the state to support the organization’s strategic goals: fostering inclusion, sharing fresh perspectives with senior leadership, and shaping the future of consulting engineering in North Carolina.
 
Michael said, “Being selected to serve on the ACEC/NC Junior Board of Directors is an incredible honor and a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of the engineering profession in North Carolina. It offers a platform to collaborate with industry leaders, influence key initiatives, grow both personally and professionally, and elevate Lochner’s presence across North Carolina.”
