Austin Office Raises $3,360 with Gobble ‘Til You Wobble Auction

Lochner’s Austin office hosted their fourth annual charity bake auction, Gobble ‘Til You Wobble, raising $3,360 for charity. Typically an in-person office event, Austin employees joined together virtually for this latest event. Homemade treats—including a Hershey bar pie, peanut butter balls, gingerdoodle cookies, bundt cakes, and plum jelly—were auctioned off to fellow staff members. Funds raised through the purchase of these goodies were then donated to charities chosen by auction winners: PAWS of Austin, Equality Texas, and Alzheimer’s Texas. Additionally, Lochner’s President and CEO, Jeanne Cormier, graciously matched each dollar raised and donated the matching funds to the Central Texas Food Bank in Austin.

Rick Klatt, a senior project manager from Lochner’s Austin office and this year’s auctioneer, said, “From a small office perspective, you couldn’t have asked for more generosity. With roughly a dozen people, we raised nearly $1700, which Jeanne [Cormier] then generously matched dollar for dollar. The annual nature of the event adds a lot of fun too. Every year, Janis Russell makes peanut butter balls that are highly sought after. This year, they were purchased for $140, making them the event’s highest bid.”
