The two‐mile stretch of US 59 from State Highway (SH) 7 West to 1.2 miles south of Spradley Street in Nacogdoches is experiencing increased traffic, more severe congestion, and a higher number of accidents. To improve safety and the corridor’s level of service, the Texas Department of Transportation has initiated a project to widen this section of roadway and use a flyover configuration at State Loop (SL) 224. Lochner was selected to provide right of way services for 55 parcels of land within the project area. Responsibilities included providing relocation services for the 12 residences and eight businesses required by the widening project.

Lochner was committed to providing a timely acquisition and relocation process. The team oversaw the appraisal reviews as well as researched and cleared property titles. Lochner also worked closely with property owners to present offers, negotiate purchase price and terms, coordinate relocations, and provide eminent domain support.
