After learning their local blood bank was in desperate need of donations, Lochner’s Lexington staff recognized a great opportunity to give back by hosting a blood drive for Kentucky Blood Center (KBC).

KBC is a community-based nonprofit organization providing life-saving blood to Kentucky hospitals since 1968. They are the largest FDA licensed nonprofit blood bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and rely on volunteer blood donors to provide 400 pints of blood per day to meet area patients’ needs. Donated blood is vital to a wide range of treatments including cancer, trauma, sickle cell, organ transplant, surgeries and many more.

“Lochner’s recent donation was supplied to Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center. Thanks for saving local lives.” – Jordan, Kentucky Blood Center.

Over half of all KBC blood donations come from blood drives organized and hosted by volunteers at businesses, churches, schools, and community centers.
