As part of our Giving Back program, Lochner’s Austin office volunteered with the Central Texas Food Bank Mobile Pantry. The mobile pantry is a drive-through event where volunteers load boxes of food directly into vehicles for families in need. Cars were marked with the number of families they were picking up food for, either 1 or 2. Items donated were canned goods, spaghetti, meats, and other nonperishable items.
The Mobile Pantry event provided food for almost 300 families. Over the past year, volunteers for the Central Texas Food Bank have helped sort 64 million pounds of food for families in Central Texas.
Lochner’s Austin office has volunteered with the Central Texas Food Bank previously and always comes to serve because of the work they do. It has always been a positive experience, with opportunity to do hands-on work.
