Karen Wiemelt
Karen Wiemelt is a member of Lochner’s Board of Directors and a veteran nuclear and energy executive with more than 35 years of leadership and governance experience. Her career has focused on leading complex, highly regulated programs with an emphasis on operational excellence, strategic growth, and organizational transformation.
Karen has held senior executive roles within global engineering and professional services firms, where she led large, multidisciplinary teams delivering nuclear operations, decommissioning, environmental remediation, security, and advanced technology programs. She has overseen global portfolios exceeding $1.5 billion in annual revenue and supported thousands of professionals across international markets.
In addition to her executive leadership, Karen brings extensive board and governance experience. She has served on numerous industry, project, and corporate boards, contributing expertise in public-private partnerships, multinational operations, and mission-critical infrastructure programs. Karen received her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and petroleum refining from the Colorado School of Mines.
