Rob Brock Joins Lochner

Robert Brock joins Lochner as Senior Systems Engineer within the firm’s national Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) practice. Rob has 32 years of experience as a consultant and resource for ITS, information technology, communications, and tolling projects. Over his career, he has provided direct sales, design and engineering, construction, systems integration, and operations services to both commercial and government clients across the United States. In his role as Senior Systems Engineer, Lochner’s teams and clients will benefit from Rob’s in-depth knowledge and practical application of planning, design, and implementation of ITS and TSMO networks and programs.

In his most recent role as a Senior Consultant, Rob worked closely with departments of transportation (DOT) and commercial carriers and service providers to design, construct, operate, and finance a variety of communications projects. These included statewide fiber optic infrastructure projects, support on a variety of public-private partnership concessionaire design-build-finance transportation projects, and interstate and municipal ITS projects. Prior to this, Rob managed and supported the ITS design and network integration for more than $500 million worth of DOT ITS, fiber optic cable, and outside plant telecommunications design, roadway, and integration projects, designing more than 3,000 miles of outside plant infrastructure, ITS field devices, and TMC systems.
