Lochner is leading all engineering and design work for this milestone project, North Carolina’s first public–private partnership project. Work involves the development of design alternatives for a proposed seven-mile toll-bridge facility over Maple Swamp and the Currituck Sound. The design involves complex environmental and constructability issues and focuses on delivering sustainable solutions and zero-waste construction.
